Most professionals around the world wear formal business clothing to work in company offices. In many countries, there is an unwritten dress code that makes obligatory for a man to wear a dark suit and tie and for a woman to wear skirted suit. But in several countries more companies are experimenting with casual business dress during working hours.
In Europe, during the hotter months, a munber of companies allowed employees to leaves their suits at home. And in the United States, a little over half of office workers are allowed to dress casual on Fridays. There is a great deal of interest in casual dress code because of its attraction to new employees.
However, some critics complain that casual dress in the offices causes a lot of problems like less productivity. Each manager needs to decide if business casual is right for his company. I think that a majority of employees dress more casual than two years ago and for me it doesn´t affect the performance on working.

it surely doesn't affect workers performance.
i think that casual dressing may do all the opposite, it would increase workers productivity because they will have a good mood in job and feel confortable while doing it
When people wear formal clothes they get into their heads a sense of power flowing throw their bodies. In that manner I think that performance will increase but after several months of being obligated to dress that way, it creates a real sense of boring inside them, that's way the idea of casual fridays is the best way to keep that sense of "I can do anything right now" always full.

What people wear is what people show to others, because it is like their presentation letter, so that we have to dress the bes as possible in order to cause a good first impression. Your dressing style is very important for you to get a job, and for you to work in a specific place. Dressing for work is very important, you shoukd dress the most elegant as possible in order to have more status.
In my opinion when you dress up for work, your are always thinking in the image you will proyect in others, but this does not affect your productivty because in work the most important thing is how you progress in your job, clothes are the way you show others your formality but this does not mean that you are the best employeer, sometimes the best employeer is not the one who wears the most cassual clothes.
i'm sure dressing wont affect the way workers do what they have to do, i think is a good way for changing the routine of being dressed always with the same boring suit, with casual clothing u feel more confortable n maybe ur going to do better at job.
i think that it definitely affects workers performace but in a good way, because the workers feel more comfortable so their performance in the work increases. It also depends on the person, 'cause there are people that feel better wearing formal.
There are statistics that show the negative effect about wear casual clothing in companies, because the employee feels more festive psychologically and this down a little performance in their work. In the other hand believe that to establish dress codes for workers is good, considering the corporate image of the company, then giving it more seriously and better presentation to their customers. I also believe that such code should regard the dignity of people, their culture and religion.
it`s important the image that you show to others in your work, dressing formal seems like serious and if you want to make a business its so important, but i prefer to be comfortable to work and i dont think dressing formal is comfortable so i would like to wear acording what you have to do in your work.
I think that the way you dress can define you, its the image that you show to the other people. Not matter in what charge you are, is to make good impression of yourself and also it helps the company to have a good impression too.
