smoke in public places

Should it be legal to smoke around others in public places where there are no smokers? Smoker today think that they can just light up wherever they feel. No smokers feel that smoking should be band from all public places. Can not smokers see that they are just harming themselves and the ones around them? Smokers often think they can not live without that cigarette, but in reality they can not live if they do smoke. Who gave them the right to sign my death warrant by smoking in public places and ruining the air I breathe is that fair?. I can not understand it when I go somewhere to eat and all I can smell is smoke from cigarettes. Nothing bothers me more then when I am waiting for something and a smoker put behind me and just throw me his cigarrete air and my cloths adquire this disgusting odor. This is not fair to the person that is a no smoker. This is why smokers should not be able to smoke around no smokers. We all know, smokers and no smokers alike, that cigarettes cause all types of illnes: Cancer, Asthma, etc. Doctors are making new discoveries everyday on the harms of smoking. cancer being raked among one of highest side affects of smoking, but yet people continue to smoke cigarettes. I don't understand why people would continue to smoke knowing the consequences of smoking. On the other hand smokers feel that they need cigarettes to make it through the day. I would think anyone who continues to smoke is asking for a quick ticket to death. Knowing all what we know about smoking today you would have to be a fool to continue to smoke. remember if u are a smoker is not only ur problem is our problem because u are contamine the air that we breath.

MICHAEL PHELPS AND HIS 8 GOLD MEDALS IN THE OLYMPICS!!

As everybody knows, Olympics are the biggest event in the world for all the sportasmen and sportswomen, and that each game is celebrated every 4 years. Michael Phelps has perhaps the best individual story of this fabolous event. He won 8 gold medals at the games in Beijing, and he does not look like he will stop there.

Michael Phelps was preparing himself in order to get what he got, but at the olympics celebrated in Atenas in 2004, he just got 6 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. So that, Michael Phelps continues preparing himself to get the 8 gold medals and he got a new record in the olympics history breaking the older record who had Mark Spitz with 7 gold medals gotten in Munich 1972.

Many people thinks Phelps is going to beat her own record in Londres 2012, but nobody knows what he wants to get. Some people thinks he is going to have more competition the next time beacuse Miroslad Cavic is preparing for beat the world record in 100m butterfly in possesion of Ian Croker and also France relay want to beat USA relay in the 4 x 100 freestyle relay, so that Michael Phelps has to train harder if he wants to beat her own record.

Personally, I think that he is the best swimmer in the entire wrold and also the best sportman in all the world in this moment, and if someone wants to beat his record, he / she has to train very hard because this exploit does not ocurr every year.

¿Is Kobe Bryant near to the greatness of Michael Jordan?

I was a basketball player almost half of my life, and during this time Michael Jordan has been my idol but with his retirement now another name has emerged Kobe Bryant thats wy the big question should be ¿Is Kobe Bryant near to the greatness of Michael Jordan?, For many people this can be true but during this paper I’m going to explain, despite what Kobe fans may believe, how difficult is the way for Kobe to be like Mike.
Jordan was always the protagonist and he didn’t have antagonist. He remained a great drama despite the lack of a persistent adversary; on the other hand, Kobe doesn’t have al the attention, he is a protagonist but has an antagonist. With the attention splintered, the focus goes to the ultimate battle instead of the ultimate player.
Jordan has 6 championships and Kobe has 3 also Jordan carried the bulls almost by himself, while Kobe has been supported by a great player: Shaquille O’Neal.Michael is superior in his spirit, he has the ability to inspire and light a fire under his team-mates. Kobe has the same spirit but keeps it more to himself.
To summarize Jordan is still the greatest players ever. As a matter of fact with his achievements he tops Kobe (for now). I think the only way to end the discussion is when Kobe retires and see what his accomplishments are, but surely Jordan always will be the best.

Healthy life

Human’s body is like a machine that needs some activities for been healthy, if you don’t do it, you become an inactive person and it could get some problems for you.
For that reason is important to you to practice some sports or jog one hour per day.

An important think for this topic is the diet, because many people don’t pay attention about what and how much they eat.

After this people become obese. Obesity means having too much fat in the body. Obesity is presented with the passage of time, when you eat more calories than those consumed. Being obese increases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, arthritis and certain cancers.
Another case people are undernourished. Malnutrition is a pathological condition caused by lack of absorption of food.

Therefore it is necessary to eat adequate amounts to avoid these problems.

video games: good or bad?

Nowdays we can find video games everywhere they are in nearly every child home in one way or another, we can find them on cellphones, portable games consoles and on normal games consoles. nowdays is impossible to find a child that dont like video games but this is not the problem, the real problem problem is to make a video game part of our life but all in video games is not bad.

Bad points of video games:
1. video games can affect many of ur skills like sports, music, arts etc.
2. if u play video games constantly can affect the social interaction with ur friends ur family.
3. video games make u a shy person because u dont like to talk a lot u only wanna play and no more.
4. if u play constantly u can have problems with ur eyes.
5. video games can be the origin of headache, insomnious and in some cases if u are a addict stress.

Good point of video games:
1. maybe the video games can improve ur han-eye coordination.
2. if u arent a addict of video games this can be usefull to have fun and relax a little.
3. it just a game.

Believe it or not the most popular rol player video game in the world is "world of warcraft" of the company blizzard entertainment, this video game have more than 15 million of players in all the world, and the reason for mention this game is because this game envolve many players on a virtual environment but when this cant satisfy the necesity the things turn more real, for example u can review a notice in united states of a girl that have sex with a man because she wanna have a lot of gold in the game, are u this type of person that allow that a video game control his life? what do u think about video games good or bad ?

How Technology change our life

Day by day, new things are invented, globalization is growing in an alarming way, updating every country and changing the live of the people. Technology have been always helpful in all ways, it can cause entertainment, can make things easier and even it can cure some pains and diseases of the human body. People each day want to obtain new technology; they fall in the charm of innovation, that makes today society depend of it, people have been so attach no this new artifacts that now they need them to live, and in the worst of the cases, live for it.We need technology in most of our time, in school, in work and also in the house we need it; is not bad to use it, but is so consuming that some people can live in a virtual way. Being much time in a computer, watching TV all day or playing video games can cause problems; Not just visual problems but behavior ones too. In children, for example, they could start acting like their favorite TV show character; it becomes a kind of idol to them. In some cases children have die because of it, thinking they could fly.So where are we going with all this? We have to take conscious and realize that technology make us things easier and also make our life more entrainment, but it must not consume our life with it.

Animal Rights

Animals are living creatures just like us. They feel pain and emotions just as we do, because they have a nervous system just like ours. That's why we have to respect them. We don't have the right to use them as food, clothes, animal testing, or for fun. We have to treat companion animals with all the respect that they deserve, and not an object as many people do.

Supporting and joining an animal rights organization like Peta, WSPA, and A.L.F is one of the first steps for defending animal rights. We can't ignore the fact that many, millions of animals are suffering all over the world. For example, in Chinese fur farms animals are skinned alive for their fur, and many are tortured for food. For more information, please visit Peta.com and animalliberationfront.com.

Be Veg.

Veganism is the bet life style ever. For people who don't know what this means, it's not consuming or using anything that comes from a non-human animal. For example, we don't eat meat, fish, or poultry, or use leather or fur, or any home or beauty products tested on animals. Why do we do that? Some of us decide to become a vegan for our own health, others for animal rights. I do this for both reasons.

The big question, is how to become a vegan. It's just taking the decision. To replace animal proteins from our daily meal, there are high protein products like tofu, gluten and soy milk. Not using leather or fur is so simple. And, for choosing the right products, you can go to peta.com, where there's a list of companies that test on animals and companies that don't, like Almay and Palladio. Go Veg now!

The success of You tube

Since few years ago, we have found a way to reproduce and watch videos in the internet, many people in the whole world watch a lot of videos at the same time, and every day a big amount of new videos are upload. You tube is the biggest and the better web page where people watch videos, there database is enormous and all kind of videos can be found, all kind of music videos, academic experiments, TV series and shows and more. This is the reason of why every day a big amount of people in the world take a period of time, some times shorts some times long, to entertain themselves watch a variety and a large number of videos.

EVERYTHING ABOUT DESIGN

Design is a world and is one of the most spectacular worlds now a days, I say that is a world because when you see a design you see something that you don’t even imagine, design is not so easy like everyone think,

Design is when you make reality something that you imagine a it will be helpful to others.

Design is a little bit different from art because design implies a conscious effort to create something that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, design is often viewed as a more rigorous form of art, or art with a clearly defined purpose. The distinction is usually made when someone other than the artist is defining the purpose

Design requires a process that we call PROCESS DESIGN refers to the planning of routine steps of a process aside from the expected result. Processes (in general) are treated as a product of design, not the method of design.

In conclusion someone who design is someone who have a different perspective of the world more futuristic, more unique and always are thinking in others because when a person design for people not just for do it and don’t have a fundamental reason.

DESIGN CHANGE THE WORLD PERSPECTIVE

Abortion Allowance

Many times we have heard and talk about abortion, anyway I think everyone should have his or her own position, and not just repeat what everyone says. In my case I must say I disagree with it but I don’t think its prohibition is the solution for this kind of problem.

First of all I believe no one, and when I say no one I include the government or any institution, should judge a man or women because he or she does not want to have and to raise a child.

Any way it does not mean that I agree with taking a baby’s life away, it’s just that I think everyone should be able to make his or her own decision in these kind of situations.

We must be responsible of our acts and our decisions, so in my case I don’t consider fair to kill a baby, but I neither agree judging people because of their decisions.

I think that the government should worry about educating population on different forms of protecting themselves. I don’t believe judging people through laws that could send them to jail is the best solution for this kind of problems.
In my personal opinion, education is the answer to many of men’s problems, if people are conscious of what is wrong and what is good, of what is convenient for them and what it’s not, we would not make so many mistakes and all that lives would not be lost.

When women are afraid of being judge not only but their families but by all society, they look for help in people who does not have the knowledge to practice these abortions, and cause them many problems like infertility.

In conclusion I believe abortion is not the solution for people who don’t no want to have a baby, but its prohibition is not either. Government should educate people and for sure this would be the best answer.

I would believe in GOD if a were GOD

i know that i must have a little respect with people beliefs and so.
but im just gonna talk about what i think.

i always see people going to the churchs and hearing a man reading and reading a complete hour and you may give some money.
well, why i must believe in a man with a white clothes (priest), i think people believe him just because of his proffession.
so if i become a priest, you must believe all what i say, you must give me money everyday only for hearing me reading a book.

thats a good business i would like to set up some churches when finishing university.
have you seen a priest arriving somewhere whithout a car?

im afraid of parents that sometimes don't have enough money to give for their children but they give money to the church.

"God wons alot of money, i would like to be god"

History of cell phones

During life humans always need to communicate with others and at the beginnings when people needed to do this, they had to go to the specific place. Then the humans learn to wrote and it helped them a lot, because now they didn’t have to move to other place, they just had to pay for send the letter.

The years continue and humanity learned a lot of things, specially in technology, for example they learned how to make different machines that made something that a person indicate.
The first machine that helps people to communicate was the telegraph, that is a telecommunications device for transmitting signals at a distance.

Cell phone is based upon radio technology that was developed from the 1940's. The beginning of cell phones can be traced to the innovation in taxi cabs, police cars and other service vehicles where two way radios were used to communicate with one another or with a central base.

The first official mobile phone was used in Sweden by the Swedish police in 1946. The technology was connected to the telephone network and was different from two way radio technology. The phone wasn’t very practical, it was only able to make six phone calls before the car's battery was drained. The technology of modern cell phones started with the creation of hexagonal cells for mobile phones by D.H. Ring from Bell Labs in 1947.

Now at days, we can see a lot of cell phones that makes a lot of things, for example; you can listen to music, you can make some pictures and videos, etc.

DISATNCE EDUCATION

The virtual classes are an alternative for learning more easily, but it depends of much kind of things. Many people say that virtual classes are only for rich people because the students need a computer programs, etc. Today more and more people are having computers in their houses, because there are many forms to buy them. The other problem that happen is that if you want to access to your computer, you need to know how, and this is the most common problem in old people.

This form of learn is very common today, because in general people don’t have much time, and go to the corporation or university, because they work all days, and they only can dedicate time for learning more at night. For this king of people, this form to learn is a good idea.

There are many course at internet, for example idioms is the most common course. But if you do a good search, you will find the course that you need.

"Help me to help us" donate your organs

Many people around the world died and died because they need your help and we don´t care about it. we never think in other until death the peoplo are selfish and don´t help people that really need this organs. Colombia is one of the countries that never decrease the donations and now I talk about the history about that.
The first human transplant was a cornea harvested from a cadaver in 1905.Blood transfusion became established in 1918 and the first successful human kidney transplant was in 1954. The first heart transplant took place in 1967.At March 31st, 2007, 7234 patients were listed as actively waiting for a transplant.1 Most are waiting for a kidney. Around 3000 transplants are carried out each year.In the UK between 1 April 2006 and 31 March 2007:
· Organs from 1495 people who died were used in 3086 transplants.
· 949 lives were saved in the UK through a heart, lung, liver or combined heart/lungs, liver/kidney, liver/pancreas or heart/kidney transplant.
· 164 people received a pancreas or combined kidney/pancreas transplant.
· 2402 people had their sight restored through a cornea transplant.
What can be donated?
Kidneys, heart, liver, lungs, pancreas, small bowel, corneas, heart valves and bone can all be transplanted.Skin can be used to treat patients with severe
burns. Several studies have shown that over 70% of the population is positive to donate their organs after their death. Despite this it is not unusual for organ donation to be not performed. The most important factor in increasing donation is early identification of a potential subject. Early identification and optimal medical care occur more frequently when there is a good, positive attitude of the ICU staff toward the process. The Organ Donation taskforce set up by the UK government in 2006, says an extra 1,200 transplants could be done each year, (which it says could save the NHS more than £500m over 10 years) if its recommendations are realised. One key area for debate is how to make organ donation usual rather than unusual. The Spanish model has demonstrated the importance of a clinical championin each hospital, responsible for ensuring that all opportunities for donationare taken. There is a potential for an 'opt-out system' where all individuals are deemed to have given consent for organ donation unless they register otherwise. There has been some opposition to this.
Living donation
The shortage of organs has led to an increasing number of organ donations by living people. The most common organ donated by a living person is a kidney.Living donor kidney transplants are increasing; 461 in 2003-2004 to 690 in 2006-2007, and now represent more than one in four of all kidney transplants. Most living donor kidney transplants are between close family members because they usually provide the best match. This limits the numbers to 500 a year in the UK. Under the new rules, which came into force throughout the UK on 1 September 2006, "altruistic" donations, those from living people who simply want to donate a kidney but not to any particular person, have been permitted.
Altruistic donors will have to have a phychiatric assessment in addition to the usual medical and surgical preparation. Patients with a friend or relative prepared to donate a kidney but whose tissue is found to be incompatible will be able to be paired with another couple in the same situation. If the donor in each couple is a match for the patient in the other, the transplant could go ahead. For a pooled donation, there would be a chain of several pairs.Part of a liver can be transplanted and it is also possible to donate a segment of a lung6 and, in a very small number of cases, part of the small bowel.
Non-heartbeating donors
Kidneys transplanted from living donors were thought to have a better chance of long-term survival than those transplanted from people who have died. In an effort to increase numbers of organs for donation several centres are now retrieving organs from non-heart beating donors as well as conventional brain dead donors.
However some research suggests that an elderly recipient (with an imminent live donor transplant) should never be offered a cadaveric donor because of increased risk of graft failure. The opposite situation pertains in younger patients. These organs come from patients who have a cardiav arrest and cannot be resuscitated, whose kidneys are flushed with a cold preserving solution so that the kidneys can then be removed before irreversible damage occurs. With careful selection of donors and appropriate infrastructure these kidneys have been shown to perform as well as kidneys from brain dead donors. The background to the changes includes evidence of variation in access to kidneys and recent improvements in immunosuppression. Probably because of more potent immunosuppressant drugs, tissue type matching has a much smaller effect on the long term outcome of kidney trasplantation.
The NHS organ donor register
This is the confidential, computerised database which holds the wishes of more than 12 million people who have decided that, after their death, they want to donate organs. The register is used after a person has died to help establish whether they wanted to donate and, if so, which organs. On 31 March 2007 14,201,229 people had promised to help after death by adding their names to this register.
Organ allocation
The main changes campaigned for by representatives of patients and professional groups are thought to represent a fairer deal for patients in that they take more account of waiting time and less of tissue type matching.
The scheme continues to take into account many factors relating to the donated kidney and potential recipients using complex computerised simulations designed to balance equity of access and utility of transplanted kidneys. When an organ becomes available anywhere in the country, the duty office at UK Transplant is notified immediately.Staff identify whether there are any urgent cases, with blood group or age compatibility, in any of the transplant centres.Sometimes there are no suitable patients anywhere in the UK but a reciprocal arrangement with the European Union enables donor organs to be offered to other EU countries.
Priority
Organs donated from children generally go to child patients to ensure the best match in size but, when there are no suitable child recipients, organs from young people are given to adults. All kidneys from deceased heartbeating donors are allocated according to a national system. This is based on five tiers:
· Complete matches for children - difficult to match patients
· Complete matches for children - others
· Complete matches for adults - difficult to match patients
· Complete matches for adults - others and well-matched children
· All other eligible patients (adults and children).
Within the first two tiers children are prioritised according to their waiting time.In the remaining tiers, patients are prioritised according to a points score, whereby organs are allocated to the patients with the highest number of points. The score for an individual patient is based on a number of factors:
· Time on the waiting list (favouring patients who have waited longest).
· Tissue match and age combined (favouring well-matched transplants for younger patients).
· The age difference between donor and patient (favouring closer age matches).
· Location of patient relative to the donor (favouring patients who are closer in order to minimise the transportation time of the kidney).
· Three other factors relating to blood group match and rareness of the patient's tissue type.

in conclutions donate your organs is the oportunity to still live the body of other people you only have to writte a letter express that you want to donate your organs and that´s it. is important think that when you are death you don´t need those organs and for that is your oportunity to save lifes like Thomas Green a guy who danate his organs and for that save 7 differents people that have a better life because his comtribution was really important for their.

Home alone.

Three moths ago i went to live here in barranquilla, i was happy because finally i was going to live alone, without my parents, in my own apartment, i would do everything i wanted to without the need of asking permission to someone, it all sounded great; but not everything was as good as it seems, the first days it was very difficult for me to move from one place to another because i didnt knew the city good, so i only moved from my apartment to the university and back, some weeks later i was able to move to different places with no problem.
This wasn't the only problem i had, i started missing my friends in valledupar and my family (i am surprised of it), because you dont have anyone to solve your problems, you have to try to solve them by your own, with no help.

But living in a different city is not bad at all, when you live alone you have to solve the every-day problems and this help you to become more independent, to be mature and appreciate all the time your parents where with you taking care of you and making ur life easier.

Colombia. Take The Risk

Many foreign people are always with the wrong conception that Colombia is a hard country to live. It's a country full of drugs and people are often fighting for it. But what experience has taught me is that when those people meet Colombia for the first time they immediately change what the initially thought about it.

We all know our country has its wrong sides, nothing is perfect, but we also know that people are working to make a great thing out of Colombia.
We are in the obligation to teach people about the good aspects that Colombia has, and they are a lot.

We stopped thinking as human beings that want to help each other and started to think as competitive humans who want to show whose country is the best for living. Each country has its own limitations and failures. The real goal is to stop highlighting the wrong sides of the countries and to start our search for better, correcting those bad aspects and making them good ones. No, Great Ones.

If you didn't believe me before I'm sure you are convinced know, don't you?

A lil' bit about genetics

A lil’ bit of genetics

Genetics manipulation consist in several techniques used in order to modify the hereditary flow of any species with changeable purposes, from overcoming genetically orgigined syndromes or simply an only-experimental purpose.

To reach the point of modifying is needed to achieve a sequence of steps wich some of them had already been done.
First of the was the discovery of human chromosome, made by an acid that conforms the genes all located in chromosomes.

Each species have an specific number of chromosomes. In humans are 23 pairs (46 chromosomes).
It’s good to know the fact that the genetics information is a group of “instructions” handed in an unique “language”, I mean it’s universal. So the diference between a carnation, a rhino and a human is the quantity of information restrained in their chromosomes.

What do you think about it?

Colors and moods

Color, without our realizing it, can have a profound effect on how we feel both mentally and physically. Dr. Morton Walker, in his book The Power of Color, suggested that the ancient Egyptians as well as the Native American Indians used color and colored light to heal. Below are some emotional associations that humans tend to have with certain colors. These are important to keep in mind in order to create the mood you are seeking.
Blue represents peace, tranquility, calm, stability, harmony, unity, trust, truth, confidence, conservatism, security, cleanliness, order, loyalty, sky, water, cold, technology, and depression.
Black is the absence of light and therefore, of color.
It represents power, sexuality, sophistication, formality, elegance, wealth, mystery, fear, evil, anonymity, unhappiness, depth, style, evil, sadness, remorse, anger, underground, good technical color, mourning and death.
Green, one of most-often cited favorite colors. It represents nature, environment, health, good luck, renewal, youth, vigor, spring, generosity, fertility, jealousy, inexperience, envy, misfortune.
Orange is a combination of yellow and red. Orange is considered a warm color like red, but to a lesser extent; orange expresses energy. It has luminous qualities and has been used for attention-getting purposes, such as on caution signs.
Purple represents royalty, spirituality, nobility, ceremony, mystery, transformation, wisdom, enlightenment, cruelty, arrogance, mourning. Purple is considered an exotic color.
Red is the color that we pay the most attention to. It is the warmest and most energic color in the spectrum.
We associate red with love, valentines, danger, desire, speed, strength, violence, anger, emergency exit signs, stop signs and blood.
White is what we see when all colors come together in perfect balance.
It represents reverence, purity, simplicity, cleanliness, peace, humility, precision, innocence, youth, birth, winter, snow, good, sterility, and marriage.
Yellow represents joy, happiness, optimism, idealism, imagination, hope, sunshine, summer, gold, philosophy, dishonesty, cowardice, betrayal, jealousy, covetousness, deceit, illness, hazard, spirtuality and inspiration.
In conclution I think the first that you see in a person is the color of their clothes and depends the color, you will be more interesting than others.

The Linux Revolution

We all know Microsoft's Operative System Windows® but what most people don't know is that there are excellent alternatives to this paid piece of software. I'm going to talk about Gnu/Linux.The Wikipedia tells us that
Linux is a term commonly used to refer to Unix-like computer operating systems which use the Linux kernel. Linux is one of the most prominent examples of free software and open source development; typically all the underlying source code can be freely modified, used, and redistributed by anyone.
but that's just the definition. What a GNU/Linux based distribution really represent to us is the freedom of choosing how we want our software to be. There are several Linux distributions, and 99% of them are free. We are able to choose an OS oriented to companies, security, office automation, gaming, or just for normal desktop use. For my personal use I use Ubuntu Linux, and let me tell you, when people ask me about Windows now I've got to say, Bill who?

As most Linux distributions Ubuntu let me do everything I used to do at my old Windows machine but Linux does it better and freer. When we install our system for the first time we find a fully functional OS with great pre-installed software and a user friendly environment

We can install high quality software with just one click

And we get a high security system

So I ask myself, Why people choose paid software over great free software? The answer is simple. Either they don't know of Linux existence or we are so used to use Windows that we are afraid to change our known system for a new one. I was that scared too but when I tested Linux for the first time I said to myself "You won't look back" and I didn't. I have found how good it feels when you are not using pirate software or looking out for some crack.

Now I get my software for free, and the best part is that everybody is able to comment on that software, make their own changes and deliver it to the community so it could progress faster and get fixed as fast as a bug(error) comes up.

If you want to test any Linux distro just go ahead. Here you can find a short test to know which one fits the best for you. Give me your comment about it.
Why do you think people don't dare to test a Linux Distro?
It's Time For A Change, It's Time For A Linux Change.

A lil' bit about our history

In colombia, every July 20 its celebrated our National Day (Independence Day) that conmemorates the courage of creoles revolutionaries and theri decision to get the independence from spanish, searching for freedom and equality for all of us that now are colombians.

The histoy says that all this movement began in july 20 of 1810 when the creoles revolutionaries began revolts in a simbollical event called “El florero de Llorente” “Llorente’s vase”.

-Some creole members of the town council went to Llorente’s house asking for a spanish decorations flower vase as a lending beacuse it was be used in the receptio for the Commander Jose Antonio De Villavicencio (Member of Real parlament)
But Llorente used bad treatment with the creoles so they began the anger and knocked Llorente then all the pople who were in the market place began joining to the creoles and began a called deathfull revolt against spanish goverment, some spanish houses who were loyal to the king Fernando VII were invaded and half destroyed.
The town council called an special meeting withe most important personalities of the city and teh next day (July 21 of 1810) was signed the recor with the Independence Declaration from Spanish Goverment and the creoles took control through the cration of the supreme council-

A flower Vase and its history, a man’s arrogance and his discrimination towards creoles and american people were enough to finish with the plebe’s patience .
A scream of glory boom in all Nueva Granada *what is now teh Republic of Colombia) and the independence movement was extended for 9 years aprox.

Some people as me, thinks that the history is not true at all. Colombian people use to celebrate the independence day on july 20 but i think it isn right. Beacuse it was only the signing of the declaration.in the next 9 years lot of battles were fighet between the revolutionaries and royal forces. And the decisive victory was on august 7 of 1819 in the event called “Batalla de Boyaca” (Boyaca’s Battle) and it result with the creation of the Nueva granada’s audience
Colombian people celebrate this day only as the boyaca’s battle but we seems to have no idea that the date of this battle was the real day of independence

Anybody couldnt thought that the independence of a entire nation could arise froma a flower vase
Anybody couldnt thought that the meaning of freedom equality and fraternity were held in a flower vase

It is the history of my wonderfull country that points out that simple things can make infinity of posibilities carrying hopes and satisfactions

And this is how colombian people deeply with all what happens, fighting for their rights their freedom and their country

Small newspapers in Barranquilla

Every day, small newspapers have served as the voice of Barranquilla. They are not only the purveyor of news events but also the mouthpiece of the community on many issues.

Today, the small newspapers maintain only a facade of the integrity they represent.
Small newspapers, for the most part, are so obsessed with profit that they are an embarrassment to a discerning public. Granted, a few small newspapers may still be concerned with quality news reporting. They are accurate, honest and unbiased; but the majority of news reports in small newspapers in the town concentrate on those stories which will please most of the readers and all of the advertisers. Because the paper is so influenced by the advertisers, omissions occur in order to protect the profit.

For example, a reporter who covers a local event may decide to omit any criticisms of the production because many of those involved are advertisers or potential advertisers. Thus, the reader is treated to a mediocre review of the production instead of intelligent comments suggesting improvements. The newspaper had decided not to offend its paying customers in exchange for news copy which discerning readers know is misleading..

Current television

It is hard to watch television in almost any time of the day and not find violence on the screen portrayed as a normal part of the presentation. Cartoons are filled with it. Movies often seem to make violence a central part of the plot, and regular TV series are becoming increasingly violent.

There is an active movement to identify those programs and give parents some control and all a choice over the level of content that they might be encountering while viewing a program.

There are those who are pointing the finger at the visual media, TV and movies, for portraying violence in a way that shows few if any consequences. In fact, it is often glorified as the way to solve a problem. There are those that are drawing direct parallels to violence that are presented on the screen of violence encountered in everyday life.

Now We ARE Playing Video Games

It's a fact that at some point each one of us have played with a video game. Nowadays video games invite you to stand up from your chair and interact with the actual console. The wireless controllers make you move not only your fingers but to move your entire body in addition to your hands and arms in order to stir a ship or just move your character inside the game.
With the present technologies there is no excuse to just lay on your couch and wait for something to happen. Now you are the one who is suppose to control the game.

With massive multi player games where millions of people can interact, instant messaging system within the consoles and VoIP integrated systems gamers can create virtual schedules, clans, friend groups, and can see who gets connected to play. All delivered right to your home right out of your HD Television (If you have one, but even if you don't too). Every improvement was made to give you a better connection feeling. Instead of playing with yourself or the computer you are interacting with everyone and playing with them all.

The problem is that a lot of people say that games are only for children and people with no jobs, but actually, one out of three persons are regular 30 year-oldish gamers.
I could probably continue telling you all sort of things video games make for you but neither you nor me can deny that the best way to take care of yourself is to really do the things you do by playing VG (everything but to kill people ;D ).
If you play Basketball on your PS3, why not to do it for real?
If you play Bowling on your Wii, why not to do it for real?
If you play Grand Theft Auto on your Xbox 360, why not to do it for real? (seriously, you know that I'm joking).

It's good to entertain ourselves with video games, they allow you to do some things you cannot in many cases, but it's even better to go out and enjoy your life.

Mototaxism, a greater issue

At the beginning, mototaxism business was working pretty fine. You could see at the beginning a few motorcycles around the city picking up people and driving them to where they need for an attractive price (compared with the charges of a normal taxi); although people was being very skeptic with this new idea, the fear started to disappear as the business grew up: its popularity was growing fast (at least in some areas of the city), and every day you could see people picking a motorcycle as a taxi as a usual thing. But with popularity, this idea became dangerous…let’s see why.

As soon as mototaxism got accepted by a majority of the population and became an accessible option as a job, a lot of people thought it was an easy one, and they ran to buy a motorcycle and get started into the mototaxism business. Suddenly, the city was crowded with “two-wheeled cabs”, and here’s where the chaos begins.

The number of vehicles in the streets grew dramatically in no time, but the size of the roads kept immutable, and so, the traffic became even more dangerous: a lot of accidents happened very quickly, all because of the irresponsibility of the drivers, all because we let them fill the city with motorcycles.
At peak our, you can easily see from 10 to 20 motorcycles in a single street; add lots of cars, busses, the hurry of being late to work, the impatience of the driver and a culture of making everything insanely fast and with no care at all; the result is a lot of accidents and an impossible traffic.

Although an impossible traffic is one of the most important and direct consequences of the mototaxism business, is not the top of them. Bad people are everywhere trying to figure out how to do bad things, and they used the mototaxism ideal and approval of people as a weapon: as time goes on, crime grows at a surprisingly high rate, and, on most of the attacks, doesn’t matter if it’s for robbery or murder, the criminal is riding a motorcycle; it may sound scary, but you cannot tell if the person driving is thinking on steal your things, or something worst.

This issues have been reported to the authorities, so they can take some measures on the subject and start doing something to bring back the safety to the streets, but corruption is government’s last name, and you could bet that a great percentage of the motorcycles that are into the mototaxism business, belongs to the hands of power in government: ironical isn’t it? We chose them as our leaders, and all they do is making the situation worst…there’s no progress in a body with a corrupted head, that’s clear.
